Who we are
We are a passionate and committed group of providers raising the standard of care in Gallup and McKinley County.
The Steering Committee is comprised of three local physicians and a long-time healthcare programs development leader. Dr. Valory Wangler will serve as founding Executive Director for Gallup Community Health, bringing a decade of healthcare leadership experience to the organization. Dr. Wangler has a strong following of patients and a reputation that will attract talented and dedicated staff, both clinical and administrative.
Profile: Dr. Valory Wangler
Val Wangler, MD, is a Family Physician and the Executive Director of Gallup Community Health. Living and working in McKinley County (Zuni and Gallup) since 2010, Dr. Wangler considers Gallup home and is committed to improving the health of our community. She provides primary care to patients of all ages and was recently named Physician of the Year by the New Mexico Society for Hospital Medicine 2021. She previously served as Chief Medical Officer at RMCHCS during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and founded the Family Medicine residency program there. Dr. Wangler currently serves as Regional Associate Dean for the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.
